A confidential place for your crews to ask for help early

Air Peer Support is the app an airline gives to its own crew peer-support programme. Pilots and cabin crew talk — by name or anonymously — to a trained peer or to the psychologist appointed by the operator, away from rosters and the chief pilot's office.

The problem

Under Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/1042, point CAT.GEN.MPA.215, every European commercial air operator must give its flight crew access to a proactive, non-punitive support programme. Many programmes still run on phone rosters and personal email, and crews often distrust them: the fear that a conversation could reach the employer is the main reason people do not ask for help early.

How Air Peer Support solves it

Each operator runs its programme in its own isolated space. The operator issues accounts to the crew members who join the programme and to its peers and professionals — there is no public sign-up, and nobody outside the programme can find or contact its members.

A crew member opens the app, chooses who to talk to and decides whether to appear by name or anonymously. Messages arrive in real time, with push notifications when the app is closed, and are stored encrypted on the server.

Key capabilities

What it changes in your programme

Crews get a channel they can trust and reach from their own phone at any hour. Peers and professionals see every request in one place, and the operator can show that the programme is in place and accessible, without ever reading what is said in it.

Where Air Peer Support sits in BXI
